Brief:
Design a chair with inspiration from the ocean.

3 designers and 2 carpenters.
Research:
We searched for inspiration in the ocean. We looked at different shells, corals, animals and even molecules.
Process:
Following our research, we began sketching our design concepts on paper. I created a sketch of a chair inspired by the ocean's waves. The group unanimously agreed on this concept, and we proceeded to the modeling phase.First, we crafted a 1:20 scale model, followed by a full-scale 1:1 model. Subsequently, we entrusted the construction of the chair to Tibrå Hantverksakademi, where they brought our design to life.
Every contour of the chair has been carefully crafted to evoke the essence of the ocean's embrace. From the subtle yet deliberate dips and peaks that echo the motion of water, to the seamless transitions between surfaces that evoke the powerful meeting of wave and shore, this chair embodies the grace and elegance of one of the most enchanting spectacles from nature.
